Rules for browsing sales listings and registering as an estate agent with Scroll To Buy.
1. About this website
Scroll To Buy is a platform for discovering homes for sale and allowing participating estate agents to manage property advertisements. References to “we”, “us” or “the service” mean Scroll To Buy as the public-facing service name. The formal legal identity of the operator should be confirmed before full commercial launch. 2. Using property information
Property details are supplied by participating agents. They may change and should be independently verified with the advertiser before making decisions or committing to a purchase. Advertisements do not guarantee that a home is currently available, that the information is complete or that a viewing or sale will be agreed. Scroll To Buy is not the seller, conveyancer or a party to a property sale solely because a listing appears here.
3. Agency registration and approval
Agent accounts require a valid email address and agency details. Registration alone does not guarantee approval. We may review, approve, suspend or refuse accounts and listings to protect users and the platform. Unapproved agencies may prepare Draft listings but cannot publish homes for sale.
4. Agent responsibilities
- Ensure that you have authority to advertise the property and any photographs, logos or descriptions you upload.
- Keep prices, property status, accessibility statements, contact details and other claims accurate and current.
- Comply with UK advertising, consumer-protection, housing, equality, privacy and other relevant laws.
- Do not upload unlawful, misleading, infringing, offensive or harmful material, or another person's confidential information without a lawful basis.
- Keep your account password secure and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
5. Listings and moderation
We may remove or restrict listings that breach these terms, are inaccurate or create security or legal risk. Agent-provided material remains the agent's responsibility. You grant the operator a non-exclusive permission to display, resize and technically process your submitted text and photographs as needed to run the listing service. You confirm you have the rights needed to grant that permission.
6. Fees and future services
No automated online subscription checkout is currently available through this website. Any future chargeable agency plan must be explained separately, with its price, duration, cancellation terms and any applicable taxes agreed before a charge is made. Registering for an account does not by itself authorise a payment.
7. Security and acceptable use
Do not attempt unauthorised access to other agents' accounts, private photos or properties, interfere with the website, submit malicious files, scrape data in a way that breaches law or rights, or misrepresent your identity or agency authority. We may block activity that threatens the service or other users.
8. Third-party services and links
Listings may show contact details or websites for independent agencies. We are not responsible for their separate services, websites or data-handling practices. You should review the relevant agent's own terms and privacy information.
9. Availability and liability
We aim to maintain a reliable service but cannot promise uninterrupted operation or error-free listings. Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence, or limits any non-excludable consumer rights.
10. Complaints, changes and governing law
Contact our existing Scroll To Rent team at info@scrolltorent.co.uk to report inaccurate listings, abuse or service concerns. We may revise these terms, with the updated date shown above. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory rights that apply in a user's country of residence.
